The CVR - Centro de Visión y Robótica (Vision and Robotics Center) is a non-profit research and development unit in the ESPOL - Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (Polytechnic Superior School of the Coast), associated with the FIEC - Facultad de Ingeniería en Electricidad y Computación (Electricity and Computer Engineering Faculty). The CVR was officially founded by the Consejo Politécnico (Polytechnic Council) in 2005, but its work has been carried out since 2001.

The CVR´s main activities are linked to the inner and outer sector of the ESPOL. Such as: research, scientific diffusion, technology transference, technological consultancy, capacitation and training. All this in diverse fields of application of the robotics and vision for computer. Several projects financed by national and international organizations have been developed in the CVR.
